I made a change to the hover over username thing in threads. Each time, it would make an api call to get data. I added a simple javascript cache thing so it only makes calls once and then just references that while you're on the page.

Hosting Status
Need to get hosting sorted out, not just for this site but for all of my sites. This shared host I am using goes down like two times a day for 30 minutes each time. The host says it's "rebooting" which makes sense, if it took like 2 minutes to reboot that's fine, it takes 30 minutes and it's slow to come back up. Brutal. So, I do have a VPS host that I originally planned to setup with my IRL streaming setup for the summer. I still plan to do IRL, but scaled way down than what I originally had in mind. Anyway, I could begin to migrate everything over to that server, but do I trust the JANK linux setup I have on it to reliably host my website? To be honest, not really. But, the fact that https://bitterli.dev works at all is a miracle so maybe I should start to migrate. It's expensive, though. I am trying to keep this site hosting has cheap as possible so it's not a burden on my income. Otherwise, i'd have to monetize this site somehow, and I am firmly against website advertisements and tracking so who knows.
